The Florida Aquarium is located directly on Tampa's harbor, in the lively Channel District, just a few minutes from the city center. Thanks to its central location, it is easily accessible and ideal for a day trip.

On foot from the cruise terminal or train station

The Florida Aquarium is centrally located in the Channelside district, just a 10-minute walk from Tampa Union Station Amtrak station. The aquarium is also within easy walking distance of Sparkman Wharf or the cruise terminal.

By car - incl. parking facilities

The Florida Aquarium is easily accessible via Interstate 275 (I-275) and State Road 618 (Selmon Expressway). From I-275, take Exit 44 (Downtown East/West) or from the Selmon Expressway, take Exit 9 (Channelside Drive).

Right next to the aquarium is a large, paid parking garage (Florida Aquarium Parking Garage), which is open during the aquarium's opening hours. The walk from the parking lot to the main entrance is only about 2 minutes. Other parking options include the Channelside Parking Garage, City of Tampa Parking Lot and Cumberland Garage.

By public transportation

By public transport, you can easily get to the Aquarium on bus lines 8, 9, 12 or 30, the nearest stop is Beneficial Drive @ Channelside Drive. Alternatively, you can take the TECO Streetcar Line and get off at Cumberland Avenue station. From there it is only a 5-minute walk to the entrance.
